Having an intimate partner who has some form of dementia can create challenges that are different from those who are caring for a parent, sibling or other relative or friend. These groups provide the space for partners to share and gain support from others who are learning how to deal with similar challenges.
Support groups can be an important source of social and emotional support, as well as a great way to see what works for others and learn about local services.
