Fairbanks Education Specialist
Sharon was born & raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She moved to Florida to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology while working as a small medical office manager. Upon graduation, Sharon started working for UMA, a non-profit allied health school for health-related services.
She began as an Admissions Advisor, advising and onboarding new students. Within a year, Sharon was promoted to Student Management, where she trained and managed Admissions Advisors while also providing academic management and guidance for groups of about 100 students per month for over seven years.
Sharon moved to Fairbanks in 2022, and when she isn’t working, she enjoys yoga, various outdoor activities, and painting. She has 2 Australian Shepherds named Bodhi and Robocop and a cockatiel named Olive. Sharon joined the ARA Education Team in March 2023 and looks forward to using her education, training, and support skills to support Fairbanks North Star Borough residents impacted by dementia.
